They also include a tuner, an amplifier, reeds, mouthpieces, a cleaning kit, and a practice pad. The saxophone is the most important piece of equipment and is usually made of either brass or nickel-plated brass.
The music stand holds the music for the student to play, the metronome and the tuner help them stay on time and in tune, and the amplifier helps them hear their playing more easily. Reeds, mouthpieces, and cleaning kits are essential for maintaining the instrument and keeping it in good playing condition. Lastly, the practice pad is useful for learning how to play without the saxophone, allowing them to practice their fundamental techniques.
